A+U:
Workshop Computer music ft. GbClifford

ARCHA+U workshop
“When I was young, I wanted to be like Skrillex.” BoLs/sLoB and badfocus introduce the basics of music production. How can you create an entire track right in your bedroom? What does it take? And how should you approach music creation from a creative and technical perspective? They’ll cover that and

The workshop will be led by two talented music producers who, despite their young age, have already achieved success on the international stage. Both were nominated for Radio Wave’s “Czeching” export project. BoLs/sLoB was also nominated for “Discovery of the Year” at the Vinyla Awards, while badfocus received an award at the HEMI Music Awards for his work.

In this workshop, we’ll also explore GbClifford’s unique approach to music production and creation—his nostalgic work with sound, samples, vocals, and noise aesthetics. We’ll also touch on themes central to his work: psychological fragility, the need for human connection, sharing trauma, and mental health in the music industry. Here, music becomes a safe space for sharing experiences and connecting with others.

The program is suitable for complete beginners with no prior knowledge of music production or audio software. You don’t need to bring anything.

Program duration: 120 min

Lasers and strobes, pulsating analog synths, transcendental beats and melodies: with the touhlelive show, Prokop Korb (badfocus) invites you to meditate and rave. By combining electronics with the organic sound of the piano, he creates a unique world, free from genre conventions and traditional practices. Despite his young age, Prague-based producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Prokop Korb has accomplished a lot. Since the project's inception in spring 2020, he has already released several albums and is currently preparing another. In 2023, he was the winner of the HEMI Music Awards, which focus on helping to develop careers abroad, and was nominated for Radio Wave's export project called Czeching.

A musician exploring the boundaries of intimate expression and mental fragility. In her work, influenced by noise and emo aesthetics, she grapples with unfulfilled desires and the acceptance of her own traumas, using music as a tool for self-discovery and compassion. The project transcends personal boundaries and creates a safe shared space where themes of seeking human connection and coming to terms with one’s present self become a means for collective growth and mutual understanding.
